This relevant course will prepare students to be engaged and responsible citizens. We will dive deep into our American past and learn about the foundations of government and study the ideals of our founding fathers. We will study the Constitution and the three branches of government. Special attention will be given to the election process and the electoral college. During the second semester we will use Dave Ramsey's curriculum: Foundations in Personal Finance. Students should expect to spend 3 - 4 hours a week on homework for this course. If needed, this class can easily be converted to a digital course by using Google Classroom and Zoom. It is helpful if your child has his/her own email account for that format. Students must have a computer with internet at home as this course relies on digital resources. Tuition: $285 a semester or $550 a year. Materials fee: $50 (includes all texts) |
